mission

" Active Minds @ Harvard/CAMHS, formerly the Student Mental Health Liaisons, is a peer education group under the umbrella of Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) that acts as a liaison between Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Harvard College community.

Active Minds @ Harvard/CAMHS works collaboratively with CAMHS, the Harvard administration, and student communities to promote awareness of issues and improve accessibility to resources related to mental health and wellness.

In an effort to do so, Active Minds @ Harvard/CAMHS strives to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and engage in outreach to address the specific needs of various communities on campus. "

vision

" Active Minds aspires to ensure that all students, regardless of identity and experiences, feel comfortable and able to connect with appropriate resources to support their mental health and that of their peers.

It is Active Minds' vision to ensure that all students are equipped to identify and utilize different pathways to help-seeking.

Active Minds desires to maintain a visible, responsive, and reliable presence as advocates and educators throughout a student’s time at Harvard.

Working closely alongside Counseling and Mental Health Services, Active Minds hopes to create and maintain an environment in which all students, regardless of identity and experiences, feel equipped to advocate for themselves and their peers regarding mental health needs. "
